A good & large 8 day striking and repeating alarm carriage clock. This is a very clean and original example of a good quality carriage clock. The dial with Roman numerals over a subsidiary alarm dial within a gilt mask. The movement is in perfect working order with twin hammers striking a blued steel gong giving a lovely mellow chime, on the hours and half hours with a loud strike on the alarm setting. The backplate stamped Patent Surety Poller, within an oval and numbered 5096. The height is with the handle up, 18 cm.
