19th century Champleve mantel clock circa 1875

A fine 4-glass mantel clock, the 8-day movement striking the hours and the half hours on a coiled gong, giving a lovely mellow sound. This clock is in totally original condition, without any losses or additions. The case has survived over 100 years with damage and the enamel remains vibrant.
This is one of the most sought after models, with a bow front bevel edged glass door and the original mercurial pendulum, further inset with enamel. The movement is in first class condition, as is the whole clock. Ht 34, W 23, D 14 cms.
