French 4 glass Champleve mantel clock

Victorian 4 glass chiming clock, circa 1880. The 8 day movement striking the full hours and half hours on a blued steel gong, which gives a lovely mellow chime. The porcelain dial with Arabic numerals, decorated with garlands of flowers, within a 4 glass bevelled edged case, with Champleve decoration. The mercurial pendulum has further Champleve decoration. This is a very versatile clock, which can be used in a variety of rooms. Ht 28, W 17, D 13 cms.
