A most decorative Carlton House desk, profusely inlaid with floral marquetry, not only to the front and sides, but also to the back, allowing this most unusual piece to be placed in a variety of positions, including freestanding centre or backing onto a sofa. This rare piece has the original pierced brass rail over an arrangement of drawers, with working locks and keys. This outstanding desk has been cleaned, polished and buffed. Ht 100, W 120, D 65 cms.
