Interchangeable Music Box, circa 1890

An absolutely beautiful music box, complete with six cylinders, playing 6 airs each, as per tune sheet. Contained in a fine rosewood case with satinwood inlay. The hinged lid with a Romanesque marquetry medallion, opening to the movement, which is in excellent condition, over a drawer with provision for storing six cylinders. The finely turned legs with the original Victorian casters, can be removed for ease of transport.
Furthermore, the music box itself can be taken off and detached from the drawer section. A rare and beautiful piece. Ht 87, W 78, D 58 cms
