Fine Edwardian tubular bells long case clock


A fine 3 train long case clock. The 12 inch arch dial with subsidiary strike silent dial and a further subsidiary dial to select Westminster Whittington or Saint Michael chimes. The dial is finally overlaid with pierced and engraved foliate brass decoration. The 8 day musical movement has 8 hammers striking 8 tubular bells, giving a lovely mellow sound and another striking the hours. The whole clock exudes quality. This clock once stood in the premises of Sermons Torquay, for which it bears a plaque. This plaque can be reversed to a blank. Ht 226 cms, Wd 47 D 35 cms.
