Victorian Parian sculpture circa 1875

A good and large figure of a child cradling her pet dog, a lettered ribbon on the base titled “go to sleep” sets the scenario of this lovely tender moment of a young girl cradling her dog and willing him to sleep. A beautiful figure which would suit a variety of rooms. This beautiful piece is in perfect condition having survived 150 years without damage, staining or abrasions due to over cleaning. We have illustrated this figure on a pedestal to show the scale. The pedestal can be purchased separately if so desired. Ht 46, W 23, D 23 cms.
